  1. AIDS training commences on July 4, 2004. 20 Volunteers from Verulam and Surrounding rural areas are to be trained. A big thank you to South African Breweries and Salosh Pillay (CSI - Manager) for sponsoring the training and equipment.

  2. Matric Intervention Programme – began February 2004 for learners from indigent backgrounds. Again SAB and Salosh Pillay came to our rescue – we greatly appreciate the equipment and stationery for this project.

  3. Various visiting Priests/Gurus from India and one from Trinidad were hosted by the cultural committee – 2003.

  4. RamaKrishna Dham is currently using the centre on Tuesday evenings for religious services.

  5. March 2004 – hosted a Family Fun Day and Fun Walk.

  6. Dr. Zweli Mkhize launched the HIV/AIDS programme in March.

  7. Narend Singh the MEC for Education handed over a cheque donated by Mr. P. Iyer to the Trust.

  8. Local artists Ustad Ravi and Gayatri Oodith performed at the Cultural Centre.

  9. Discourses during the Ramayan Week delivered by, amongst others, Mr. Ashwin Trikamjee and Mr. Ranjith Ramnarian.

  10. July 2, Guru Purinam was hosted by the cultural committee.

  11. Krishna Asthmee to be observed in August 2004.
